Sarah & Nate had first reached out to us last winter. A Cape Cod native, Sarah had met & fallen in love with Nate in San Francisco. Because they live in California, they weren’t able to come meet with us, but after several email exchanges and a joint phone call, they asked us to be their photographers. Of course, we happily agreed.
We finally got to meet Sarah & Nate in person this spring, when they came East for some intensive wedding planning. As expected, we instantly hit it off with these two very sweet, funny, warm people. And, getting to be a part of their wedding was wonderful.
Sarah & Nate had poured a lot of themselves into their wedding, from making their own table runners, a family flag, cake topper and even jam preserves for their guests. And, it all came together perfectly. But, the thing that really stood out about their incredible wedding day was all of the LOVE…I’m talking, big, fat, glorious, I-don’t-care-who-knows LOVE! And, not just so obviously for each other, but also the beautiful love they share with their wonderful families and incredible friends.
Theirs truly was a day of celebrating love & commitment and we were so honored to have been there to bear witness, and also tell their story.
So, without further ado….here are a few of our favorite moments from their incredible day:
Kate’s super cute niece and flower girl extraordinaire, Kate, feeling a little shy at the start of the day. Meanwhile, our beautiful bride, Sarah, glows as her crazy sweet sister, Kim, buttons her into her gorgeous Mikaella bridal gown. Love the JCrew bridesmaids dresses too.

Isn’t she lovely…

A smooch for dad before they head to the church in this spiffy convertible…

Ready to go, Nate gets a loving & very proud look from his adoring momma, Marilee. Melts my heart…

Lookin’ good, Nate!!

That first look moment….priceless!

The look of love…

Nate & his proud Papa, Bill, exchange signs of peace during the wedding mass at Our Lady of Victory in Osterville. Just love the way Bill is holding tightly to his son’s hand, and with so much love & affection in his eyes. Swoon.

Looking back to friends & family, Sarah takes it all in.

Stealing a kiss during communion. I must admit, I love communion during church weddings. The focus moves off the couple and they have a moment to chat and check out their new hardware, and sometimes…steal a kiss, when they think no one is watching. But, we’re always watching. 🙂

Woooo hoooo….we’re married! Love this moment! Can we talk about how excited Sarah is and how Nate’s trying to contain his excitement, crooked bow tie and all. He looks like a big kid on Christmas. Just love it!!

Heading to the beach for photos, we get the thumbs up!

Cape Cod beach fences, scrub oak and kisses in the sunlight…does it get any better?

Wherever you lead, I will follow…

Happy, happy, happy!!!

Feeling on top of the world…

oh the joy…

Cape Cod beachy perfection…

Gotta love when a beach has fabulous trees acting as a tunnel of love!!! Thank you Mother Nature!

Love this next one…Sarah just looks so completely happy! She looked that way all day! Swoon!

Heading off to meet their bridal party…

Girls…love me a gaggle of girls!!!

Sarah’s friend owns a tugboat and he & his wife invited Sarah and her new hubby for a quick ride to the party…now that’s riding in style!

Family & friends greeted them at the reception. Nauticus Marina is one of those hidden gems in Osterville. It’s such a gorgeous spot for a wedding! And arriving via boat makes it even more so!

Sarah & Nate return the greetings as they pull dockside…

Sperry Tent may have been the first company to offer sail cloth tents, and we love them. But, American Tent does it one better. Their tent cloths have a lovely white color, unlike Sperry’s tents, which are tinged with cream tones that cast a funny hue to the light inside the tent. We are HUGE fans of American Tent. They make editing so much easier! Thank you American Tent! And thank you to Olive and her fabulous staff at The Casual Gourmet for always making our job such a pleasure and taking such good care of us. We adore you!!!

Oh the joyful celebration…

Sarah & her gal pals…love this moment!

Guests enjoying dinner and happy conversation…

Sarah’s brother made the cornhole game boards, which were a big hit…especially with the kids, Kate & Jack.

Nate & his mom boogie on down. Marilee was so excited to dance with her son, she literally jumped with joy!

Taking a little time out from the party to soak in the setting sun…they’re singing and dancing, by the way. Love it!

A perfect ending to a perfect day…

Sarah & Nate, thank you so very much for entrusting us with documenting such an important day…particularly without having even met us. Your wedding was as wonderful, happy and full of love & goodness as you both are and we hope these photos serve as happy reminders of this exciting time in your lives for many, many years to come! With big love & hugs, Chris & Andy xoxo
