Shortly after moving to Denver from Atlanta in the fall of 2016, Addison found herself at a downtown brewery, hoping to sample some of the local pumpkin beer. She got to talking with a handsome young man, who after enjoying good conversation over a couple of fall cocktails, asked her to dinner.
“Tyler asked me if I wanted to grab dinner at Torchy’s Tacos down the street (this is how I knew he had great taste), and we hit every topic you’re not supposed to talk about on the first date,” Addy told us.
Their second date quickly followed and included a six-hour tour of the city, where Tyler showed off all Denver (and he) had to offer. They quickly realized their connection was something different.
“We talked for hours, danced the night away, ate food truck pizza slices, and already planned for our next date,” they told us.
Fast forward to 2018, and this smitten duo had settled in to true Coloradan life, complete with camping trips, raising a puppy, attending Rockies and Broncos games and even purchasing a new home together. Their relationship survived the stresses of studying for the GRE, applying to/attending grad school and even international travel, something they both love.
In May of last year, they boarded a plane for Costa Rica and on the gorgeous Mistrico Arenal Hanging Brides Park, suspended high above the rain forest, Tyler dropped to a knee and asked Addy to marry him.
“It was the perfect, raw moment, and the epitome of our adventurous life together. I’m pretty sure it took us at least five minutes to even remember there was a ring. Needless to say, it was the most incredible start to our trip,” the reported.
Although we weren’t able to meet until their actual rehearsal dinner, also held at the Wequassett Resort the night before the wedding, we knew right away that these two lovely people were something special and their wedding reflected all the beautiful love they share for one another and for those closest to them.

Addy’s cousin is serving in the military overseas and couldn’t be there for the wedding. As I arrived to take getting ready photos, Addy was on the phone with her cousin and the emotion of their conversation was beautifully palpable.

Guests were also pretty excited about the super cool champagne wall Allison & her team put together, which includes lime-shaped placecards atop each champagne flute, letting guests know where they could find their seat.

Tyler & Addy invited all of their guests to join them at the end of their first song and I just love this moment. They’re surrounded by everyone, but the look their sharing feels like there’s no one else in the world.
Addy’s super sweet step-dad, Tim, gives a very heart-felt toast, which included a lovely thank you to his beautiful wife for all she did to make this day happen.
It’s hard to see, but there’s a tender tear touching Tim’s cheek as he wraps up his toast.
Addy’s dad also spoke to the happy couple, offering love & support and wishes for a long, happy life together.
