We first met Sybil in the summer of 2007, when we photographed the amazing Cape Cod wedding of her sister, Lauren. She may have even been still a teenager then, which feels TOTALLY crazy, since she’s planning her own wedding for next summer.
Happily, she and her super sweet fiance, Josh, reached out to us about photographing their special event. Ummmm….Yes, please!! So, next June, we will be heading to Ipswich to the Turner Hill Mansion for what will no doubt be an epic day of love and joyous celebration. I can’t wait!!
A few weeks ago, we got together with this lovely pair for their engagement session. It had been a few years since we saw Sybil last, during a family session at her mom & dad’s summer home in Chatham. So, it was a lovely reunion with her. And, it was so nice to meet Josh, who is a thoughtful, charming, kind-hearted guy and the perfect match to Sybil.
Here’s a look at a our time together with them and their crazy cute fur baby, Cyrus.

Sybil & Josh wanted to do the session at her parents’ house in Sudbury and it was so fun for us to photograph somewhere new. It also helped that the property was gorgeous….almost as much as these two.

Falling in love….

Can’t do an engagement session in the fall and not play around with leaves and the ring.

Sybil is one of those people who is super comfortable in front of the camera…she attributed it to her time spent in the theater. And, Josh….he’s just super comfortable with Sybil. Love these two together!

Sybil has this old soul, Elizabethan quality about her…maybe it’s not Elizabethan, that might be the wrong era, but she just has this beautiful, Queen-like, demure, yet totally confident look that is suuuuuper fun to photograph! Josh, you know how to work that princely vibe too, bud!!

As much as I enjoy their serene expressions, it’s these next ones that make my heart sing.

Love. Love and more love.

Leave weeping to the willow tree. For here in your arms it is clear to see, the beauty that is this love, shared forever….by you and me.

Love this next candid moment as we head to another area of the property…

Josh told us about an overgrown and abandoned rail track in the woods behind the property that he sometimes lets Cyrus run free. It meant navigating through some tight, tick-infested brush. But, Andy & I will do anything for a good photo…..

So glad we did!! Totally worth it!!!!

Toe to to, arms wrapped, hearts beating together. This is us…

Easy, breezy, beautiful…

Cyrus came out at the end of the session to join us for some lovin’ and kissin. The best!

Isn’t he a handsome boy?

I can’t with the puppy cuteness! Hey, who’s photo session is this anyway?

Sybil & Josh, thank you both for welcoming us with open arms and open hearts!! You two are just so lovely and watching you together was such a treat, as was just hanging with you both. Thank you for choosing us to document this exciting chapter in your lives. We hope these photos reflect all the love you share for one another and all of the adoration we have for both of you! Cannot wait to do it all again…and then some…next summer. With big love & hugs, Christine & Andy xoxo
