Five years ago, Margaret & Aaron said, “I do!” surrounded by family & friends at the beautiful St. Andrew’s By the Sea, with the reception following at the uber chic Hyannisport Club. It was a beautiful day, filled with love and lots of joyful celebration.
We were so excited when Margaret & Aaron contacted us to photograph them again, this time with their two very sweet babes, Ezra & Eliana. As is often the case with our couples, we had still kept in touch over the years. We had followed their lives and had seen pictures of their little love monkeys, but we were thrilled to have the chance to get them in front of our cameras.
As expected, our reunion with Margaret & Aaron…sweet babes in tow, a couple of weeks ago back in Hyannisport, where it all started, felt a lot like their wedding…lots of love & joyful play. Here are some of our favorites from our time together, starting with this shot on the steps of Margaret’s parents’ house….when you get this kind of love & happiness right out of the gate, you know it’s going to be a good session…
Next, we headed to St. Andrews By the Sea, where Margaret & Aaron said, “I do.” A lot has changed for them in five years…but the love still remains the same. And, can we talk about Ezra the little ham? Love this little man!
We had taken a few photos on these very same steps for their wedding, and Margaret & Aaron wanted to recreate the scene with their family. So sweet. They were all so relaxed and enjoying the session and I can totally feel that coming through in the photo on the right, as we left the church to head down to the beach. Love that!!
Margaret is a talented photographer in her own right and having seen lots of her photos before, I’m pretty sure this next one of her with Eliana showcases a pretty frequent expression on this sweet baby’s very joyful face! Too cute!

The light was DIVINE the night of our session and this next one is just the quintessential family moment to me. Love everything about this shot! Makes my heart purr!!! Oh, and the outfit choices Margaret made are absolutely spot on for a beach session…the colors in all of their clothes completely compliment each other and the scene around them…blues, aqua, sandy beige, black shadows and white of the bubbling waves along the shore. Just perfect!!!
An unexpected wave hits a little high…yeah for genuine expressions of joy & surprise. LOOVE!!

Sweet, happy little Ezra…oh, how I want to put you in my pocket and carry you with me wherever I go.
Our sweet little man, decided to sit down for a bit and take a little break as we took a minute to focus on just mom & dad. But, I couldn’t resist this perspective as he checks out mom and dad and then the waves heading his way. Children really do know how to enjoy life and simple moments. Not sure how we lose that as we get older, but having them around is a great reminder to stay present and just have fun!
Back at their wedding, when we were doing some portraits with Margaret & Aaron, we had asked Aaron to whisper something sweet to Margaret…he decided to take the silly approach and in this next shot they were recounting that moment.

I’m a sucker for a handsome man lovingly holding his baby and these next two make my heart smile…BIG! Poor sweet Eliana was a bit sleepy, but such a trooper and didn’t complain at all. Lovely little boo!

Ezra & Eliana are not only beautiful, but also so sweet and so fun to be around! It was so great seeing you two again and meeting your little lovebugs. Congratulations on your 5 year anniversary and thank you again for sharing another wonderful milestone with us!
