Kim and Buzz (aka Matt…though I’m not sure anyone calls him that) are the kind of couple who makes perfect sense. You know how you sometimes meet two people and you just can’t imagine anyone better suited? That’s how it is with these two.
Andy & I didn’t get to spend much time with these sweethearts before their wedding and although we don’t know them as well as we have had the pleasure of knowing some of our other couples over the years, even to us, it was crystal clear from the start that these two sweet, kind-hearted, fun, funny, lovely people, as wonderful as they are on their own, are just heaps better…together.
Much like Oktoberfest in Munich (where these two recently went for their honeymoon), you couldn’t imagine indulging in Brez’n at the biergartens without a Hefeweizen in hand. You just wouldn’t do it! That’s how it is with Kim & Buzz….they’re just all kinds of awesome together.
These two Knödels were our final couple of the season to say, “I do!” And, they did so surrounded by family & friends at the First United Methodist Church in Chatham, with a super fun reception following at the stunning Chatham Bars Inn.
Here’s a look at some of the beautiful details and sweet moments of love & joyful celebration from their incredible, and Septemberifically perfect fall day.

Kim gets buttoned into her gorgeous BHLDN wedding dress with the help of her lovely mom, Teresa, as big sister/MOH, Lori, and yummy niece, Caroline, look on.
Looking stunning and feeling very much a bride.
Meanwhile, across town, Buzz and his besties get ready. Here, Buzz gets a little help from his big brother and best man, Dan, and proud Papa, Moe. Plus, Buzz later reads a heartfelt wedding day message of love from his soon-to-be bride.
Buttoning up her baby blue suede shoes and looking very happy about what’s about to take place.
Knots of love & intention…
Caroline digs the added sparkle, Auntie.
Why hello beautiful. It’s funny, I asked Kim how she felt about jumping up on the bed for a quick portrait and at first she was a little shy and not entirely convinced this was going to look good. But, after I took the photo, I showed her the back of my camera and, as is so often the case with our couples who think they don’t look good in photos, she let out a happy little “Oooh!” and away we went.
Buzz and his fellas took a few moments out of their morning to toast and revel in the excitement of the moment….beachside.
Kimmy and her sweet parents, Terese and Dan, and ring bearer extraordinaire, Henry.
Buzz welcoming flower girls Lily & Caroline down the aisle. So freaking cute!!
Kim waiting to enter the church and make her way to her soon-to-be hubby.
Just love these two moments as Buzz gets overwhelmed by love & happy emotion as Kim makes her way down the aisle to him.
That moment, when you stand at the altar, beside your best friend, surrounded by all the people you love most in the world, and you realize this is it….the moment you commit your hearts and lives to one another. And you know it’s exactly where you want to be.
There was so much awesome emotion during Kim & Buzz’s ceremony.
This moment could be my favorite. Kim was on the verge of happy tears all morning and during the vows, it was all just a bit too much…in the best kind of way….where she suddenly found herself somewhere between bawling her face off and laughing hysterically. ADORABLE!
During communion, Kim & Buzz take a moment to check out Buzz’s new hardware. I remember this feeling myself after Andy & I first got married. He’d never wore rings before, really, and seeing one on his finger…one filled with so much meaning….it was really cool!
And with the kiss, it’s official….our new Mr. & Mrs. are married. Kim & Buzz and all of their family & friends were sooooo happy about it there was a lot of hooting and howling and for the first time in 18 years of photographing weddings, we saw a standing ovation….at a church!! Meant to be together!!!
Woooooo hoooooo….they approve!! Resoundingly!
OH happy days!!!
We did it!!! Better together!!!
I love a good receiving line…it offers a wonderful opportunity to document some real connecting and candid moments.

Kim & Buzz had a big gap between their ceremony & reception…like 4 hours, which I must admit, made for a seriously looooong day for us, but it also meant we could head back to Kim’s parents and without things being rushed at all, have time for some family & bridal party photos on the beach. But, first…some walking down Main Street with our boss posse!
Wooooo hooooo!
On the trolley back to Kim’s folk’s house in Brewster, our bridal party had some time for some bubbly and celebrating.
These peeps rocked!!!
Bright sun ain’t no thang….just an opportunity to sport their shades and look super cool. Oh and it deserves mentioning that bridesman Joey wins the MVP award for his rose pink sunnies!
Get it girls!!!
Now some alone time with our new husband & wife….what’s better than a perfect warm fall day, an ocean breeze and a gorgeous couple totally head-over-heels in love?
Easy, breezy, beautiful….love these two.

Back to Chatham, where the party was ready to head into overdrive…but first, some pretty reception details.

Love me some cocktail hour candids!!!
Guests arriving for the party, with champagne and signature cocktails in hand….
Buzz’s lovely parents, Eileen & Moe.
Cocktail hour cornhole….does it get more Cape Cod?
With the light lower now, we stole Kim & Buzz away for a few minutes for some photos on CBI’s infamous dock. Just love this next photo, a candid moment Andy captured through the fencing, as Kim & Buzz make their way to the beach.
Hand-in-hand, side-by-side, holding on forever….this is love.
Hello cuties…
If complete contentment were to be defined with an image, this might be it….
Back to their party….barefoot and ready to boogie!
The introductions were super fun, with the various bridal party pairings coming up with their own unique entrance….Here’s everyone waiting to go….
Some serious air for this chest pump….nice one guys!!!
It’s not a party if there’s not a T-Rex in attendance….
Lori caught a big one……hysterical!
The new Mr. & Mrs….getting a high five from a very enthusiastic Uncle.
The first of many dances as husband and wife…

These guys were ready to go….
But first some toasts….taking in all the love & happy sentiments.
BeanTown Band rocked the house down!! Such a fun group and loved the way their lights looked in the empty dancing tent during dinner.
Father & daughter and mother & son dances. Happy. Happy. Happy!
Much like the t-rex, limbo always takes the party to a new level…literally. Get it Georgie!!
How low can you go….
This guy might have gone a liiiiiittttle too low! Uh oh!! Props for not letting it stop him from enjoying the rest of the night. Love it!!!!
I can’t remember which song this was, but they were loving it!! Me too!!! So fun!!
Kim & Buzz, thank you both sooooo much for choosing to share such a special (and super fun!!!) day with us!! You two are wonderful. Your families and friends are wonderful and we absolutely looooved being a part of the community of loved ones there cheering you on and documenting it all in photos. We hope you love these images as much as we loved being there to capture them for you!! With big love & hugs and more goodness to come soon! C&A xoxo
