Lindsey & Bobby’s Wequassett Rehearsal Dinner ~ Cape Cod photographers
All of our wedding packages include a complimentary engagement session and we offer these as a way to spend more time with our couples so that we all get to know each other better and build a foundation of trust before their big day of “I dos.” Trust and relationship building are key to making our couples feel more comfortable with us, so that they let their down their guard and let us in to capture the unfiltered emotions that make each wedding such a beautiful and unique celebration.
In the same way our engagement sessions give us more time with our couples, being invited to document rehearsal dinners lets us also get to know their families & closest friends better. And, that is just how we like it.
Photography really is a give and take between the subject and picture-taker. Not everyone loves being photographed. So, the hope and goal for us is that the more time we spend together, and the more we can put our couples in front of our cameras…if even in a more candid, relaxed way such as the rehearsal dinner, the more comfortable they become with us, and the more confidence they have in our ability to document them in a natural, fun, emotional, authentic way.
We were fortunate enough to have been invited to document Lindsey & Bobby’s rainy, but super fun rehearsal dinner earlier a couple of weeks ago at the always beautiful (even in the rain) Wequassett Inn. Jen from the Pink Polka Dot worked side by side with Marsi, Bobby’s super sweet mom, to put together a chic oceanside clambake. Everyone had a blast, including us!
Love the nautical blue & white theme and the gorgeous green & white flowers by Lilac Florals and super cute lobster lollipops.

Here comes our happy couple, Bobby & Lindsey, dodging raindrops and followed closely behind by their parents.

Some family friends from France…who were so warm & welcoming to us, even inviting us to come stay with them in Paris…um, yes please! Love the cute cocktails in mason jars, with blue & white paper straws.

The seating chart table continued with the beachy theme….sand & driftwood.

Friends having fun & sharing stories.

Lindsey greets a guest while a Wequassett server passes out featured cocktails. I don’t know what they were, but they looked great.

Lindsey & Bobby breaking bread with family…or in this case breaking lobster tails. Love the bibs and the steaming ramekins filled with melted butter.

Live music & wine always makes a delicious dinner even nicer.

Bobby visits with friends and members of his bridal party.

Bobby’s super sweet dad John thanks family & friends for coming with a lovely heart-felt toast/speech, while Bobby’s warm & wonderful mom, Marsi, greets friends. Ironically, the couple she’s talking to was actually at our previous Wequassett wedding (the week before) with the equally sweet Michaela & Wally. You may recognize Colin & his wife Stephanie. Colin is Michaela’s brother and was one of Wally’s groomsmen and his wife Stephanie, Michaela’s sister-in-law, was one of her bridemaids.

A guest reacts to the conversation she’s having….gotta love joy that can be read so fully on one’s face.

Thank you Jen from Pink Polka Dot & Kalson at Wequassett for making our jobs not only easy, but also thoroughly enjoyable. Special thanks to Marsi for inviting us to document the rehearsal dinner. You are wonderful and your vision was so fun do document. We loved meeting everyone and hope you enjoy these photos as much as we enjoyed capturing them for you. And, a great big thank you to Lindsey & Bobby for allowing us to be a part of this very special time in your lives. You all have been so much fun to get to know and just be around since day one. We hope these photos serve as happy reminders for you, your family & friends and for future generations to come. Cannot wait to share the wedding pics with you…stay tune! Big love & hugs, C&A xoxo

These are so wonderful! Love how the reds, yellows, and blues all pop. Very happy for these two, and I can’t wait to see more photos from their big day!
Ooooh WOW!!!! Love the bright happy colours and all the anticipation in the air! So lovely!
