Grays Beach is one of Cape Cod’s special places. With a small sweep of sand and shallow waters for paddling, plus a half-mile long boardwalk that stretches across ever-changing tidal marshes, Grays Beach has something for everyone and is the perfect family beach.

In her younger years, Kate guarded the waters here, so it seemed the perfect place to gather for this year’s family session for Kate and her brood.

A lot has changed since we first met Kate and James and their two very cute girls, Isabella & Jacqueline….namely the girls have grown up. They’ve been coming to us since Jacqueline was a baby, and Isabella was half the size she is today. Ever year, I look forward to seeing them and watching and these two beautiful babes grow and blossom.

Here’s a look at some of our favorite moments from last week, when we once again gathered with this wonderful family.

Isabella is such a loving big sis and Jacqueline absolutely adores her. Their relationship is an enviable one.

Sunset and smiles…

It was prickly in the tall marshy grass, so Jacqueline and Isa caught a lift from their adoring parents. Love these real, in-the-moment expressions.

The tide was low…but spirits were high.

Lovely little Isabella….She is shy, sweet, super bright, thoughtful and kind. She also tells a mean Knock-Knock joke.

Barely any sunlight remained in the dusky day….and yet….light shone everywhere!

Every night, Kate & James end the day with their sweet girls by all joining in a family group hug. And it’s how we’ve ended every one of our photo sessions with this sweet family. Always a highlight for me.

Thank you Kate & James for once again entrusting us with helping to preserve these precious (and fleeting) family moments. We absolutely love being with all of you and love watching the wonderful little people you are raising your girls to be.
