Aimee & Rick’s Family Session ~ Wellesley Lifestyle Photographers

Aimee & Rick first found their way to us more than a decade ago, when they began planning their Cape Cod wedding. Aimee has always had strong ties to the Cape and she & Rick got married at the Ridge Club in Sandwich. We were lucky enough to be there with them, documenting all of the love & joyful celebration.
Over the years, we’ve kept in touch and they’ve continued to invite us to document happy life milestones, including the arrival of their oldest love monkey, Tess, and then subsequent family sessions, as sweet pea, Brooks, joined the party.
Sadly, Aimee lost her beloved mom a couple of years ago, and we were there to pay our respects. I remember walking in to the wake and seeing photos we’d taken of her mom. They were among Aimee’s favorite photos of her mom and I was once again reminded of how much people value the images we create for them.
In the moment, family session may not seem like anything monumental, and really they aren’t, except that they provide space and a moment in time for families to connect and just be together. And, we’re there to document that time and preserve the moments and memories in photographs. To do so is both an honor and often a real joy!
Such was the case a few weeks ago, when we once again got together with this sweet family up in their home town of Wellesley. As always, we had a ton of fun with these wonderful people. There wasn’t as much time for playing and goofing around as we typically like, but just being together is always a privilege. Here’s a sneak peek at our time together.

Just across the street from their house, we decided to take advantage of the colorful changing leaves and the classic fence.

It can sometimes be hard to get the kids to pose for a photo….mainly they just want to play and truthfully, so do we. But, if we move quickly, we can do a little of both.

I spy with my little eye, a very cute monkey in a tree.

Aimee and her baby girl, Tess. Aren’t they lovely?!!

Brooks is a little ham and he thought it would be fun to take a photo while pinching his momma’s nose. Just love his joyful expression!! Meanwhile, Tess enjoys some snuggle time with Dadda. Be still my heart!

Some more monkeying around…

These two have been through a lot together over the years! Brooksie was born with a cleft pallet and has had to endure waaaaay too many surgeries, particularly for someone so young! Yet, still, he smiles that wonderful carefree smile and has the most beautiful spirit. Just love these moments of connection between these two sweethearts!

Love the way these two love each other…even if they’d really rather be done with photos.

Swoon….these next few photos really sum up these two love bugs and their unique personalities for me.

Love this family!!

And I love the way Rick is looking at his lovely wife! Ten years later!

Two perspectives from the same perch.

These two love each other and their kids with their hearts wide open. So perfect!

Mom & Dad stealing a kiss. Then Tess tries to steal one….Adorable!

Aimee asked for a photo of her on her own and I just love this next one of her. She is as beautiful inside as she is out.

We end our time together with some sibling silliness by the fall flowers.

Aimee & Rick, thank you for once again sharing your beautiful family with us!! We love you guys and love that you’ve kept us in your lives all of these many years!! We won’t be photographing weddings by the time the kids are old enough, but we hope we’re there as guests, cheering them on and celebrating the beautiful lives they’ve created for themselves!! Not trying to rush anything!! LOL!! Just feeling reflective and super grateful for all these years of friendship and hopeful for many more still to come!! Big love and Halloween kisses to you all! Christine & Andy xoxo
