Ten short years ago, Andy & I were lucky enough to be there when these two beautiful women….after 17 wonderful years together…FINALLY got to have their love and commitment legally recognized. Surrounded by the love and support of their wonderful family & friends, their Wequassett wedding was an absolutely spectacular, emotional, joyful, incredible, inspiring and amazingly beautiful day of love & joyful celebration. Getting to be there with them again a few weeks ago, back at the Wequassett, with all of the same incredible vendors helping to make their “I dos” perfect to once again celebrate these two amazing women….ten years later….was such an honor and a huge pleasure.

Even though it was their day, Chris & Mauri, as they do in every facet of their lives, went out of their way to make sure the people they love were happy, comfortable and having a good time. Below, Chris welcomes family to their suite as they share a champagne toast…

Happy times with Aunt Claire…

A happy new addition to the crew this year was Chris’s recently discovered aunt, I think…although she looks more like a cousin….Colleen (middle). Chris was adopted as a baby and since the wedding, she and Mauri were able to find and get in contact with Chris’s birth family. She got to meet her birth mother, who sadly passed away during Covid. But, the gift of her time with her birth mother and getting to meet her cousin and her family, as well as other relatives who have become very important in her life was just one more reason to celebrate.

Like their wedding 10 years ago, their anniversary party was held at the Outer Bar & Grille.

Making their way in to the party, greeted with cheers, applause and lots of joyful loving from family & friends. I just love these moments. It’s so rare that everyone we love most in the world is together. These really are moments to treasure.

And treasure them these two really do…

Thanking everyone for making the trip to celebrate with them, Mauri & Chris give welcome remarks and also share some loving sentiments with one another.

Mauri is kind of a known for her surprises and her gifts…although surprising Chris is NOT easy. But, she did it….by getting her a special 10-year anniversary ring. Here Chris reacts to the moment she figures out what’s happening. So stinking cute!

Rather than a sit down dinner, Chris & Mauri chose to have a more casual cocktail style party, with passed hors d’oeuvres and some stations, so there was some time for us to steal away just before sunset for a couple of alone time photos with these lovely ladies. Below are some of my faves…

The date of the party happened to coincide with the birthday of Kate’s husband and because Chris & Mauri would do anything for the ones they love….they wanted to give Bryan a special cake to celebrate….And because they’re Mauri & Chris….they went big.

Mauri & Chris…what can we say? Getting to be there with you two when you said, “I do!” ten years ago was such a special and memorable occasion for us. Getting to do it all over again with you this summer…..having 10 years of friendship under our belt….it was just the BEST!! I must admit, I wanted to put down my camera and just dance and chat with you all several times. Andy & I just love you both. We love your love and feel so very fortunate to get to be there documenting these special milestones in your life together. Thank you for choosing us as your photographers. But more importantly….thank you for welcoming us into your lives as friends! See y’all in Philly next summer for sure!!
