Andy & I were very fortunate to get to go to a bunch of rehearsal dinners for our couples this year. The rehearsal dinners are a wonderful opportunity for us to get to meet family members and friends who’ll be participating in the wedding. And, they’re also generally pretty relaxed and always fun to photograph.

Christine & Stephen’s rehearsal dinner was no exception. Theirs took place on a beautiful end-of-summer afternoon here on Cape Cod, at Wequassett’s oceanside Outer Bar & Grille.  Here are some details and happy moments from Christine & Stephen’s soiree.

Christine is one of the most thoughtful people I’ve ever met…so it was no surprise that she had created these super cute gift baskets for her guests. Props to her equally sweet Dad, Dick, for tying all of the bows to Christine’s exacting standards. Christine & I are like two peas in a pod. Anything we do must be as close to perfect as possible, which can sometimes be a maddening quality for us, but if you ask Andy, he’d probably tell you even more so for those who love us.

Happy guests arrive ready to celebrate Christine & Stephen and two small, but powerful words….”I do!”

As soon as I saw her across the room, I knew this beautiful woman had to be Stephen’s sister, Karen, and I was right. Man, they make them cute in that family!

Christine & Stephen’s friends were as sweet and fun as they come….and super tight, which is always so lovely to see. The day after the wedding was Stephen’s birthday and Christine surprised him with a cake made with chocolate and nutella buttercream…made with love & care by her very talented friend and co-MOH Abby. Way to rock it Abby!! Happy Birthday Stephen!! xo

We’ll have some more lovin’ from Christine & Stephen’s wedding to come very soon. For now, big, heart-felt thanks to Christine & Stephen for sharing such a special time in your lives with us and for immediately making us feel like part of the family! Right from our first meeting, before your “smushy session” (which by the way was so freaking fun!!), you two and your parents made us feel so comfortable and welcome! It certainly didn’t feel like it was our first time meeting. I have found a kindred spirit in you, Christine, and something about you just makes me want to hug you and keep you close. Thank you both so much for really being so kind and generous with us…in every way…in sharing yourselves with us and making us feel very special!
