It was just over a year ago that our little Sadie made her rather abrupt and unexpected entrance into the world. Three months early and weighing in at a mere 2.8 pounds, she quickly became our family’s little fighter. For three scary months, she was in the NIC unit at the incredible Brigham & Women’s Hospital, where the doctors and nurses gave our little miracle baby the very best care.

My sister, Kimmy, Sadie’s mom, and our brother-in-law, Eric, Sadie’s dad, held vigil at the hospital, visiting her every day and when staff allowed, cradling her and all her cumbersome feeding and breathing tubes. Leaving her each day was the hardest thing they have ever had to do. It was an experience no parent should have to go through. But, everyone came through with flying colors and two weekends ago we celebrated our little Miss Sunshine and all of her amazing accomplishments over this past year.

Andy is completely smitten with this little love munchkin! Watching him with her is just the sweetest thing! Makes me fall in love with him all over again. Check out how cute they are together. She’s mesmerized by the funny faces he’s pulling and tries to copy him. ADORABLE!

Unfortunately, our other sweet little munchkin newphew, Michael, lives in California, so we don’t get to see him even close to often enough, nevermind photograph him. But, we just couldn’t talk about our two little lovies without mentioning him too, so here’s Mikey….who will turn one in June. We love you munchkin!!!!
