Nicole & David’s Falmouth Wedding ~ Cape Cod Photographers

Nicole & David said “I do!” with their closest friends & family gathered around, as the sun shone brightly and warm autumn waves lapped at the pristine shore behind them.

Late September is my favorite time of year here on the Cape. The bulk of visitors have gone home, the beaches are still busy, but it’s mostly locals coming out of their summer cocoons to enjoy a sunset dinner or a walk with their dogs. The air is cooler, but the sun still warms the skin. It is as if we get this beautiful place we call home back to ourselves….I know that sounds selfish, but I wish September would last forever.

Nicole & David’s wedding was the perfecting ending to my favorite month. Falmouth is home to this sweet couple, while they finish building their new home in CT. Nicole is a professional organizer at B.Organized and you could feel touches of her amazing organization skills all over the wedding. She is also an actress and model, and no stranger to the camera. And, the camera loves her….so do we! You can see more of her and David in their bello love session earlier this year…HERE.

Their wedding was so relaxed and so fun to photograph and we cannot wait to share a look at their day with you, so without further ado….

Sea inspired invitations….so cute!

David gets a little help from his brother Bruce on the porch of the Beach Breeze Inn, just before seeing his soon-to-be bride.

I love when couples choose to get  ready together…there’s something very sweet, intimate and endearing about it to me. And, I love getting to be there to document it! David helps cut the hanger straps from Nicole’s dress and she helps with the new cuff links she bought him.

David opens the Tiffany cufflinks from his beautiful betrothed.

A few moments for a quick portrait before gathering with family for photos.

Heading to the beach….such joy!

And, beautiful anticipation….

Beaming, beautiful, breathlessly following love….

In your eyes, I see my future, my love….my forever….

LOVE the colorful parasols Nicole & David got for their guests.

Gathered in love & celebration….the prettiest place to make promises.

With this ring, I thee wed.

Ceremonies don’t always hold the attention of little boys….and thank goodness for that! LOOOVE!

The light was as bright as their shining love! Family & friends stood as witness, holding up the chuppah in a show of love & support.

As a symbol of the new life they are creating in their union, David & Nicole asked guests to release butterflies.

Fly sweet monarch, fly into the clear blue sky.

And so their new life as husband and wife begins….

With a kiss and a snuggle….you are mine and I am yours.

We did it…..woooo hooo! (I remember this feeling from my own wedding. It was such a happy moment! And you can see the happy written all over their beautiful faces! Just love it!)

Letting one last butterfly fly free…..

Some snuggles from her adorable flower girls, Daniela & Jessica….such sweet peas!

As guests head across the street to the Inn, David & Nicole take a few moments on the beach to soak in the joy of the moment.

Happy. Happy. Happy…..

Sweet kisses…

Side by side, and in your arms, is where I forever want to be.

This next photos makes my heart smile so big. Just love the happiness written all over Nicole’s gorgeous face!

Now back to the party for some merry making…

Such a perfect setting for an intimate affair, with a Sperry Tent, rentals from Be Our Guest and flowers by Courtney’s Floral Creations.

Love all of the colorful, beach inspired decorations and long, family style tables!

Nicole’s friends helped make and set up the beachy favors and decor.

Aqua-licious…..

A quick change to something more casual and our happy couple makes their entrance to the party….wooo hooo!

Eat Your Heart Out Catering provided Peruvian inspired ceviche in honor of Nicole’s family roots. Almost as delicious as all the love in the air this beautiful day!

Thumbs up for love…

Corn hole fun…

Some beach breeze lovin….

These two are so adorable together!

Hummuna, hummuna…

David’s children, Marc & Sandra, gave such a warm, loving toast to their dad and Nicole. It was playful and sincere and perfectly befitting their lovely dad & his new wife.

Reacting to the toasts….

For their first dance, it felt as if no one else was in the tent….so lovely.

Love the chunky sparkle that is Nicole’s signature look, as is that gorgeous smile of hers!

Friends & family were treated to an ice cream sundae bar courtesy of Smitty’s of Falmouth.

Love David’s expression as he’s dragged in to lead a conga line.

I don’t know why more couples don’t have day weddings….they provide more time to take in all that makes Cape Cod such an amazing place.

Ole!!!

Big thanks to Walt, Don & Joyce at the Beach Breeze Inn for welcoming the wedding….we loved working there and would happily come back again, if you guys decide to do more weddings. 🙂 Thanks too to Steve & Liz of McVie Productions for helping coordinate things to run smoothly, and to all of the fabulous vendors for helping make for a perfect day for Nicole & David. We’d also like to extend a heart-felt thank you and big shout out to our friend & fellow photographer Amy Rader for referring Nicole to us! Big love!! And, the biggest thanks goes to Nicole & David….thank you both so very much for entrusting us with documenting your amazing wedding!! We have loved getting to know you both over the past year and look forward to seeing where the future takes you!! Until then, we hope these photos serve as happy reminders of this love-filled time in your lives and that years from now you might look at them and feel all of the joy & celebration as if it was the day itself! We cannot wait to share the entire collection with you and put together an album that highlights all of the love & goodness!! Until then….sending big thanks & love, C&A xoxo

Nicole & David’s Falmouth Engagement Session ~ Cape Cod Wedding Photographers

Like so many busy couples today, Nicole & David met online. Nicole was living in Falmouth, but her work as a model and actress took her to NYC, Boston and beyond. Meanwhile, David called Connecticut home.

After seeing Nicole’s profile online, David reached out and sent her an email, hoping to spark a connection. Luckily, David is a patient man, because it wasn’t until a few months later, when Nicole was house sitting for her aunt in Miami, that she finally replied.

“I decided to go back on the dating website I had been on and off of over the course of a year, and reread some of the emails I had received. One of those was from David,” she told us. Intrigued by the Buddhist saying he quoted in his message, she decided to take a leap of faith and write back.

“I didn’t think he would respond after so long, but he did,” Nicole told us.

The two exchanged a few emails, then began talking on the phone, quickly bonding over their shared love of the book, Le Petit Prince. Early on, I realized he had some depth and could talk about more philosophical things, and soulful things. So, I knew I liked this person. When we finally met, I thought he was so handsome. And the rest….well, it all worked out just perfectly.”

David agreed, saying sparks flew from the very first date. He drove from CT to the Cape for dinner, and it was a dinner they’d never forget. “We both felt, ‘Wow! This person is whom I was expecting to meet. We kissed on our first date and the chemistry was beautiful.”

Today, this sweet, thoughtful, passionate, interesting, creative, loving pair is planning their oceanfront wedding, and we are super excited to get to be a part of the celebration!! (Special thank you & shout out to our dear friend Amy of Amy Rader Photography for sending her friends our way!! Love you Amy and so grateful to you for all your support over the years!!)

Nicole & David will say, “I do!” surrounded by closest friends and family at the quaint Beach Breeze Inn in Falmouth. Andy & I used to live just up the street from the inn and have always wanted to photograph a wedding there. Now, we get to….and even better, we get to do it with two of the nicest peeps!

We got together with Nicole & David a few weeks ago, visiting a couple of their favorite spots on the Cape. We started out at the Knob in Falmouth, which is actually where Andy asked me to marry him….such happy memories! Hope we created some new happy memories there for these two lovelies!

Nicole & David share a love of travel, art, opera, good food, music and driving fast. They also love to make each other laugh….which they seem to do a lot!! Love it!!

More sweet giggles…..

Looooove this shot Andy got of Nicole & David with all the beach grass….so sweet, romantic, playful….perfectly them!

More cuddling & giggling…and reveling in their love. Ahhhhhhh!

The look of love….

Love these next two pics and how happy and playful they both are together…..this is what LOVE looks like. Just wonderful!

By your side I shall forever walk, hand in hand and hearts aligned.

Wherever you lead, I will follow….

Beach boulders as old as time, like solid reminders of love’s endurance, strength and resilience.

Smiling, happy….

These two smile A LOT in each other’s presence, and they both have such beautiful, warm smiles. Just delightful!

We nearly lost David in the water when he attempted to get in these row boats…I think he forgot how tipsy they can be. But, he made it safely & dry. We had a good giggle and in the end, we think it was worth the effort. Hopefully, they do too!!

Down to the Nobska Lighthouse beach for some photos at another favorite spot of theirs. Nicole’s done a lot of modeling, but David looks pretty natural in front of the camera too!!

Happy. Happy. Happy!!

LOOOOVE this next one…such big happy, snuggling faces!! Be still my lovin’ heart!

Another amazing perspective by my crazy talented hubby!! Love the faint glow of the lighthouse in the background!!

Sandy snuggles….

Love the way Nicole is holding on to David in this next one…it’s such a tender touch, filled with care & devotion…and that look, it just screams, “I love you!”

Thought I’d try something a little different for this last one…..I have been reminded lately, as I’ve had to watch as people I care about battle with scary illness…that life is very much about one’s perspective. There are so many different ways to see the same thing, but how we choose to view what we see….the lens through which we choose to look….it changes EVERYTHING!  This next one was for me about shifting my perspective and I love the result!

Nicole & David we hope you enjoy how we’ve captured the two of you together. We loved sharing the afternoon with you and watching you interact. You are wonderful individuals and a beautiful couple and we are thrilled to be a part of this exciting new chapter in your lives!! Thank you for entrusting us with documenting this time. We are so grateful and humbled and so very appreciative of your thoughtful choice in selecting us!!

We always ask our couples what were the deciding factors in selecting us as their photographers. We don’t usually share their answers, because it’s more of a helpful guide for us, but we were so moved by what Nicole and David said that it feels like a good way to end this post, so here goes…..

“(We like) The emotion you capture in your photography. Also, (your) photos seem truly inspired and spontaneous and not formulaic. And, the artistic angles you choose are just beautiful, not cliche or cheesy. They convey a true appreciation of all of the surroundings, not just the subject at hand. There is a richness to the images that is truly enjoyable to see, not just a series of ‘wedding’ pictures. We feel that you have the ability to capture that spirit, through our eyes, and the eyes of our friends and family.”

Well guys, we hope as you view this little sneak peek of our time together that you feel you made the right choice. I know, Nicole, that your time in front of the camera generally involves playing a part, but we hope in these photos you can see what we see in both of you and that you feel we were able to capture who you both are, the beautiful emotional connection you share and the excitement you feel as you prepare to merge your lives and hearts in marriage!!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!….for opening up in such a real way, for welcoming us with warmth & kindness and for just being you!! Cannot wait to meet your inner circle in a few months!!

Big love & Hugs, Christine & Andy xoxo

Jac & Mitty’s Falmouth Wedding ~ Cape Cod Wedding Photographers

Jacqueline & Mitty are like peanut butter & chocolate…alone they’re pretty awesome, but together…..well, it’s a winning combination that’s hard to beat! We first met these two lovebirds earlier this summer, when we got together for their bello love session.

It’s not often that we first meet our couples just minutes before photographing them and still hit it off right away, but that’s exactly how it was with these two. They’re just super cool people…fun, warm, funny, and absolutely beautiful, both inside & out.

I knew even before meeting them that we were going to like these two. Before our love sessions, we give our couples a little survey with questions that let us get to know them a bit better. Andy & I provide our own answers too, to help couples feel a little less intimidated to share personal info with us. Jac & Mitty sent back their survey…all 4 pages of it…and it was like Christmas morning. Not only did we get a real inside look into who they are, and what they love about each other, but with every single, thoughtful word they were welcoming us in to their world with open arms & open hearts. And, that is gold to us.

More often than not, our couples send back surveys with one line answers…and we get it…we’re all busy and who has time for something so seemingly trivial. But, Jac & Mitty’s answers were so much fun to read. Jac’s replies were particularly verbose….which I suppose I could relate to, as anyone who’s ever got an email from me can attest…I’m never at a shortage of things to say. But, they weren’t just chatty responses, they were seriously heart-felt. And, in their words it was easy to see how much these two love & care for each other.

Their wedding a few weeks ago, in the backyard of Jac’s grandfather’s ocean front Falmouth home, was the perfect testament to just how BIG these two love …and not just each other, but their families & friends and life in general. It was such an honor to bear witness to that kind of love & celebration. It was the kind of wedding you never want to end (Well, the kind of wedding you’d never want to end if you could put down your 20 pound cameras and join everyone breaking it down on the dance floor, which we were seriously tempted to do.)

I could keep going on about how much we adore these two, but I know most folks come here to see photos…so, I’ll just let the photos do the talking. We hope you enjoy this little sneak peek into the love & celebration that was Jac & Mitty’s wedding day!

Beautiful Jac…with eyes as blue as the ocean…love this girl and her Sex in the city hairstyle by the talented team from Artworx Hair Design. Make up by Dani Wagener.

Ga ga gorgeous!!! Jac is a vision in her Ramona Keveza wedding gown. Just beautiful! And, to think, all she said to us when we first met was how awkward she is in front of the camera and how she can never take a good photo….yeah, whatever!

Mitty and the guys were getting ready at the Sea Crest Resort just down the road. The guys all wore these handsome bluish/grey suits by Isaia, and super cool plaid ties .

Our handsome groom, getting ready for his soon-to-be Mrs.

Last minute gloss touch ups…and away we go….

Happy looks like this…

Jac & Mitty had their first look on Jac’s grandfather’s front lawn. The property and tent just looked so beautiful thanks to the talented team at Sperry Tents, the super sweet and uber stylish Jen Chagnon at The Pink Polka Dot, and the lovely Courtney Dunbury of Courtney’s Floral Creations. We are huuuge fans of Courtney’s and this wedding was some of her best work ever. Just so beautiful and so totally Jac’s style. Awesome job Court!!

Look at that beautiful face light up at the site of her sweet mister….swooon!

Joy is this….

These two were absolutely glowing….yaaay for love!

Jac’s grandpa’s dog is a sweet old fella, who was doing his part on the wedding day to help keep Jac calm and centered….and look pretty adorable doing it.

Jac & her girls….including her super sweet sister Christina (on Jac’s right)

Jac & Mitty could not have asked for a more perfect day to say, “I do!”

Side by side, now and forever!

Sweet kisses….

Mitty & his besties, including his brothers, Chris & Chase (far right) before the ceremony starts at St. Barnabas in Falmouth.

Love this unscripted moment as Jac arrived via the side door, with her handsome dad, Dennis, and her soon-to-be nephews/ring bearers, Harrison & Alex.

If every day could feel like this, life would be soooo good!

Love the way Mitty gently touched Jac’s arm as she made her way to him….sometimes so much can be said in a simple touch.

Or in a look…..

We did it!!! Woooooo hooooo! Look at their faces….can you stand it?? So much happiness!!

Jac gets a love-filled hug from a friend just outside the church.

I LOOOOVE this photo of Jac, it’s almost as if she can’t believe how happy she is in this moment. Meanwhile, her super sweet parents, Dennis & Elissa, make their way out of the church.

See what I mean about Courtney’s flowers???? Just stunning! And, that floating ball of flowers in the middle of the tent must have been about 4 feet wide! Love the linens too!

A little pink sparkle and a ruffled cake by the talented staff at The Casual Gourmet. As always, Olive and her staff made sure everything ran with machine like precision, while guests enjoyed the delicious food!

The new Mr. & Mrs…..

A fun perspective on their first dance.

Jac played lacrosse in college and here some of her former teammates shower their gal pal with love & kisses.

Mitty & Jac steal a kiss during the toasts.

Love Mitty’s expression as he listens to Christina talk about her new big brother. Just lovely!

This little star lit walkway….it provided the perfect backdrop for a little late night break from the party for our happy couple.

Sealed with a kiss…..

Honestly, there were just too many great moments to fit in this post…I could have kept sharing, but we’re already a bit late getting this online, so we had to stop somewhere. We hope you, Jac & Mitty, enjoy this little peek. More to come very soon…we promise! We cannot wait to share the entire collection with you…so many wonderful love-filled moments jammed into one day! Until then, thank you both sooooo very much for including us in your amazing wedding! We love you guys and loved being a part of this special time in your lives. You, your family & friends all made us feel so welcomed, and you two shared yourselves so selflessly. We appreciate it so much and cannot wait to see where this journey of love takes you both next!! With big love & hugs, Chris & Andy xoxoxo
