Beth & Andrew’s Wequassett Wedding ~ Chatham Photographers

A few weeks ago, on a picture perfect spring day here on Cape Cod, law school sweethearts Beth & Andrew said, “I do!” in a sweet church ceremony surrounded by friends and family, with a reception following at the beautiful ocean side Wequassett Resort. It was our first wedding of the season and THE perfect way to kick things off.

Beth & Andrew could not stop smiling the entire day…and their smiles, laughter and joyful celebration were completely infectious. I think the photos really say more than I ever could about just how amazing their wedding was and how much they and their family & friends enjoyed themselves, so I’ll keep this one brief and let the moments speak for themselves. Enjoy the love….

Beth gets a little help putting on her borrowed bling (a crazy gorgeous diamond necklace) from her super sweet friend & bridesmaid Alex. Beth got her and her girls special robes for their morning of getting ready together at Chatham Bars Inn. So cute!

Dressed in her stunning Modern Trousseau wedding gown, Beth gets her first look… ga gorgeous!

Beth & Andrew exchanged cards the morning of the wedding. Watching them read the love-filled words was so sweet….smiles & happy tears….so lovely!

One of Andrew’s best men, Trevor, and groomsman, Tyler, joke with Andrew (in foreground) as the guys get ready for the wedding. People’s faces looked like this the entire day….so much happiness! Yaaaay for love and sharing one of the most important days in your life with your besties.

Hello beautiful Beth….Hair & make up by the talented team at Lisa George.

Andrew’s friend, Dan, wears his bow tie almost as good as the family dog, Teddy. I don’t know who’s cuter!

Hey fellas…off to a wedding? Yup…and looking pretty happy about it!

The girls, looking stunning and equally as excited, make their way to the church…is Beth glowing or what?!! Love it!!! A special shout out to Patrice Milley for the gorgeous flowers.

Co-Best Man, Jamie, hands out programs to some very happy arriving guests. See the theme here….HAPPY!!!

The groomsmen ready to greet guests. Love the moodiness of this next shot and the way the guys are gathered. You can just feel the excitement and anticipation.

Cheeky little look….just love it!!!

Pronouncing our happy couple officially married…..oh the joy!

And sealed with a kiss….and some more outrageously love-filled smiles.

Wooo hoooo…..we did it!! Beth looks back to her friends in celebration as she & Andrew leave the church, officially Mr. & Mrs.

To the Wequassett for some photos and cocktail hour canoodling.

The way these two are together is just so wonderful to be around.

Eskimo kisses…

Love. Love. Love….glorious LOVE.

Done with photos, our happy couple joins the fun at cocktail hour and is greeted with rousing applause. Andrew responds with his own good cheer. Too much fun!!

The setting sun on a most glorious day dusted the party with a little magic sparkle, enhanced further by the happy faces of those enjoying the celebration….

Moments like these are some of our favorites to capture….real life enjoyed with gusto!

These sassy shoes were begging to be photographed. And, more happy as displayed by Andrew’s gorgeous sister Kaitlin….

Yup….more happy!

Taaaa daaaaaa……

Andrew makes the cutest face when he gets overwhelmed by happy. He sticks his tongue between his teeth, as if to say, “How did I get so luck!” It really is delightful! He made this face a lot throughout the day, and most especially during his first dance with his new wife. Their sweetheart table was adorned with a post card, highlighting some places they visited last year in Italy. Oh, AMORE!!

Beth’s MOH and crazy sweet friend, Stephanie, delivered a wonderful, heartfelt speech, which obviously delighted Beth & Andrew…

And, Andrew’s besties, Jamie & Trevor did the same, throwing in a gooooood dose of funny, which delighted everyone, including Andrew’s lovely parents, Ann & Tom.

And when it was time to party, this group didn’t disappoint….I’m pretty sure this was a Journey song… always gets the same reaction, one we never tire of seeing!

Party on people…

To wrap up a perfect day, Beth & Andrew’s guests serenaded them with a lavender toss as they rushed to a golf cart and sped away into the night…..heavenly!

Beth & Andrew, thank you so very much for inviting us to be a part of such a special, wonderful, fun, happy, joyous, love-filled time in your lives. Your wedding was everything a wedding should be, and more. We absolutely loved being there with you, documenting all of the splendor & celebration. We hope you enjoy this little sneak peek as you await your proofs, and that these photos forever serve as happy reminders of the day you two became a new family. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

With big love & hugs, Chris & Andy xoxo

Dolly, Jerry & Family ~ Chatham Portrait Photographers

Andy & I are happy to share yet another family session, once again highlighting one of our very special bello brides & grooms and their lovely family.

Jenna & Aaron said, “I do!” at The Mack House in Chatham back in 2004. It’s hard to believe it’s been 9 years since their wedding…I still remember so much of it and so vividly, especially the crazy beautiful sunset they got. It was as if the Heavens were blessing their vows.

Happily, Jenna & Aaron have kept in touch with us over the years. We even got them back in front of our cameras a couple of years ago. Click HERE for a peek.  We had too much fun with them and their gorgeous boys, Brady & Sam. So, we were over the moon happy when Aaron’s super sweet mom, Dolly, whom we have also kept in touch with, reached out about doing a big family photo session with us.

We hadn’t seen the whole group since the wedding, although we did get to spend an afternoon with Aaron’s sister-in-law, Halley, and her gorgeous daughter, Megan, back in 2007. Click HERE for a look at our time together. But, the whole group getting together…well, it’s been a while.

Just as we expected, it was happy hellos & hugs, as if no time had passed at all. We met up with the gang at Dolly and Jerry’s home in Chatham. And, here’s a look at our time together.

Our merry gang: (left to right) Aaron & Jenna with their boys, Brady & Sam; Papa Jerry; Matt & Halley with their kids, Megan and look-who’s-all-grown-up Ryan; Nana Dolly; Kalley & Chris with their sweet girls Paige & Brooke.

Aaron & Jenna with their sweet boys, Brady & Sam. Can hardly believe it’s been 9 years since these two got married. They are still as happy and full of love for one another (and now their lovebugs) as they were when we first met them….perhaps even more so. Yaaaay for that!

Aaron’s big brother Matt with his family…son, Ryan, daughter, Megan and lovely wife, Halley. Though she’s not quick to admit it, it’s obvious that Megan is just smitten with her big brother. They’re so cute together!

Now this little peanut…I was obsessed with her. I was first struck by her crazy beautiful hair. Kalley told me that Paige has a very rare condition where her hair follicles are odd shaped, which makes her hair grow in super kinky. It’s just gorgeous, just like the girl who wears it with style. Hey, what do you say, lovebug, want to share some of those Oreos with your new photographer friend? Or you could just say, “Cheeeeeeeseeee.” Priceless!

Chris, Kalley, Paige and her baby sister, Brooke. Some snuggle time with Daddy and her favorite lovey. Awwwwwww…

Play time with Brooke.

After getting reacquainted and doing some photos in the backyard, we headed to a nearby beach for some more pics and some playtime as the sun was setting. Aaron and his beloved boys. Love these fellas!!!

Our happy couple….

Sweet Megan…it’s hard to believe how grown up she is now. I still think of her as that sweet mermaid at the beach. And, her proud parents….are they cute or what?

Love this next moment….love how Sam is carrying a feather he found on the beach as he’s running and how the motion speaks to childhood and how fleeting it is. If only we could slow down time, just a bit!

Chris & Kalley and their baby girl, Brooke. Hey smiley girl!!!

Another group shot as we say goodbye to the setting sun…

Brady & Sam looooove sports. Me, I love these photos of them…Brady will his sly, self-assured grin as he hits a ball with his dad & Uncle, and cheeky Sam. Mmmmmm….just want to eat you boys up!

Andy has a way of finding really cool perspectives. Love this next shot. It very much reminds me of a photo he took during our trip to Panama.

Exploring the shallows…

Momma & daughter. Husband & wife. Love is…THIS!

Squeezing the very last bit out of the daylight, Aaron gives Sam a shoulder ride before we say adieu. Sighhhh….

Thank you to the whole family for such a fun afternoon/evening. It was so great seeing everyone again, meeting the newest family members and reconnecting with those we hadn’t seen in a while. Dolly & Jerry, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful family with us, for welcoming us back into the fold with such warmth & affection! We adore you all and feel so grateful that you have kept in touch and have once again allowed us to document all of the love you so obviously have for one another! Sending loads right back atcha!

‘Till we meet again! With big love & hugs, Christine & Andy xoxo

Sandee & Matt and Family ~ Cape Cod Portrait Photographers

Although we’d actually been shooting weddings for nearly six years when Sandee & Matt reached out to us about documenting their Boston nuptials, somehow in my mind, they are one of our first couples. And, as such, they hold a very special place in our hearts.

Part of that, I think, is because we instantly clicked with them. Theirs was also our first wedding of their season, so that may be it too. But, I think it was more because it really was love at first meeting with Sandee & Matt.

When we photographed their Cape Cod love session (aka engagement session) and they were so obviously smitten with each other, having fun, playing together and hamming it up for our cameras….even getting into the water at the end of the session….they totally won us over. And, we knew theirs was a relationship that would last; not just with each other, but with us, which is exactly how we like it.

Happily, we recently caught up with Sandee & Matt, and their two gorgeous children, Evan and Annie, during a family session here on the Cape. Matt’s parents and sister and her family also joined the party.

We met the gang at Corporation Beach, which was where we first photographed Matt & Sandee six happy years ago. Click HERE for a look at their first bello photo shoot. And, HERE for a look at their AAAHHHH-MAZING Boston Harbor Hotel wedding that followed.

It had been a while since we last saw everyone, so it was hard to not put down our cameras and just play with this amazing family. Somehow, we managed to do a bit of both. It is families like this one that remind us why we love what we do.

Without further ado, here’s a look at where life has taken Sandee & Matt and their wonderful family.

Matt & Sandee with their crazy cute lovebugs, Evan and Annie. Annie had this laugh, particularly at the start of our session, when I would chase or tickle her, that was deliciously infectious. She absolutely has her momma’s lovely disposition. I wish I could put her in my pocket and carry her around with me. She is delightful in every way.  And, Evan….the last time we saw him, he was much like his little sister. Now, he is a sweet, charming, wonderful little man…just like his amazing dad! Just love this family!

The whole gang: (from left to right) Caleb and Hannah with their mom & dad, Adam and Meagan (Matt’s beautiful sister), mom, Rayanne, and dad, Dan, with Matt, Sandee & crew.

Meagan & Adam with their sweet boos. Can we talk about Hannah’s bow headband for a second? I can’t even stand the off-the-chart cuteness!

Love this perspective as the family heads out of the beach grass for some play time…

Sweet Annie…the finger on the cheek…it’s just too much!

Precious Hannah….heading off into the beach grass jungle…

Chasing cousins….

Kisses & acrobatics.

A tender moment for father & son.

Hannah has her folks wrapped around her cute little fingers! And, who could blame them! She had us wrapped too, in just a few minutes.

I just want to eat little Annie up….deeeee-licious!

Meagan, Adam and the kids go for a seaside stroll….are they cute or what?

Evan leads his little sister on a stroll of their own…

Can we talk about the way Annie is looking at her big brother with such love & adoration? It just kills me!!!

Hannah’s enjoying her big brother stroll too….

Annie & Dad check out some seashells.

Evan was running along the shore and fell in….getting more than a little wet. It doesn’t look like he minds much. Love it!

Evan gives his gorgeous momma big wet kisses & cuddles. Melts this momma-lovin’ photographer’s heart!

Dan & Rayanne watch on with smiles & pride written all over their lovely faces.

Gorgeous, sweet, lovely Caleb.

I love this next photo of Evan neck deep in the water…fully clothed. It brings back such fond memories of my own childhood, when my sisters & I used to go to the beach with my dad (not to swim, but just to walk along the sand) and he’d tell us not to wade in too far. Slowly, and always surely, we’d end up in further than we should…and eventually this would happen. My dad would not be pleased, but my sisters and I were having too much fun to care.

If you checked out Sandee & Matt’s love session, you may have noticed a similar photo to this next one. Sandee & Matt were up for anything at their session so we had Matt lie in the wet sand at the shore, with the sunset reflecting off the water & wet sand. We asked them to just have a moment and the photos we got still remain some of my all time favorites. We decided to have them recreate the scene, but with the addition of their sweet babes joining the not-quite-as-sexy, but even more delightful, pig pile. I just love this photo for so many reasons.

Love this perspective as Caleb & Evan draw lines in the sand. And, Miss THANG Annie. Honestly, it’s too much this one!

Sandee & Matt, thank you both so much for reaching out to us again and sharing your amazing family with us…all of them. We love you guys and loved getting to spend some time with you all again and have your gorgeous faces (and butts 🙂 ) back in front of our cameras! As always, we had a blast and hope you did too. We also hope that our time together was as much about capturing great images as it was creating lasting memories. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!! With big love & hugs, Chris & Andy xoxoxo PS..we’d like to send a special shout out to Sandee’s Dad, Dave, who recently returned home after major surgery. Dave you are in our thoughts. Sending lots of love & healing wishes your way!!
