Liz & Travis’s Wequassett wedding last month was perfectly dreamy in every way. The weather was one of those quintessential warm fall days, sunny, dry…perfect. Family & friends gathered, overlooking picturesque Pleasant Bay, to watch as these two best friends pledged their hearts and lives to one another, having written their own vows and guided into marriage by their dear friend, Gary….perfect! There were heart-felt speeches, that were equal parts humor and sentiment and had everyone smiling from ear to ear. There was delicious food, good music, dancing and oodles of love and happy celebration.
All in all, theirs was a perfect wedding and the perfect way with which to end our 2016 season.
We had been looking forward to the day since meeting them last fall. Sitting in our studio, hearing about how they met, their hopes for their special day, and how much they enjoyed our work, we instantly fell for them! And, quickly fell for Liz’s super sweet mom, Jane, and dad, Stephen, who welcomed us warmly into their home when we got together in June for Liz & Travis’s engagement (click HERE for a peek)…even asking us to stay for dinner. Just like Liz & Travis, they are super warm, welcoming, kind, generous, lovely people. And that sentiment was perfectly reflected throughout the wedding.
Here’s a look at some of our favorite moments from their incredible day, beginning with just a few picture perfect details, including Liz & Travis’s wedding rings, sitting atop a perfectly plum Mrs. Box (love these little ring boxes!), Liz’s bling-a-licious Jimmy Choo shoes, stunning bouquet by Lilac Florals. (You outdid yourself with this one, Karen!), invitations by JPapers and Liz’s crazy beautiful Reem Acra wedding dress. The purple and gray wedding colors paired with the blue suits and gray ties were stunning!
Liz gets help getting in her dress from her super sweet sister, Laura, and mom, Jane (behind Liz), while her adoring cousin, Rachael lends moral support. Slipping into her sexy Jimmy Choos, I just love this candid portrait of Liz! She’s so serene, so beautiful and so sexy all at once!
The gorgeous rushing and beaded shoulders on Liz’s dress fit her perfectly!!!
With a little spritz of her chosen wedding day scent and a smile and she’s ready to go see Travis for their first look. Isn’t she lovely?! Liz got her flawless look thanks to good genes and the talented team of Artworx Hair Design and Kristin McKenzie Make Up.
Meanwhile, in another room at the resort, Travis gets ready with his besties. Just loved their stylish blue suits and sharp ties, which Travis gave to his groomsmen as gifts. Travis started Tora Clothing, a high end menswear company, so we just knew the guys would be looking good….they didn’t disappoint!
Tying ties is more fun together…
Travis looks over his vows…nervous, excited…ready! Gary, one of his groomsmen and good friends (second from left) performed the ceremony and rocked it!
The bridesmaids (including niece, Ellie (left to right), cousin, Rachael, sister, Laura, and dear friends Lauren & Susan in their gorgeous Jenny Yoo dresses. Such sweet ladies.
That moment…when you see your best friend for the first time on the day you will say, “I do!” Just the best!
Look at Travis’s beaming face…love it!
Now that’s a happy man!
A happy man + a happy woman = a very happy (and adorable) couple!
With a little time before the ceremony, we headed down to the beach path for a few quick portraits of a happy couple.
I mean….come on. Love these two!
The look of love…

Ushers extraordinaire – Jack, Brock & Weston, take a break from wedding duties to post for a photo just before the ceremony begins.
Here come the fellas..

Here comes the blushing bride…
Then it hits you….this is really happening! Ahhhhh!
And with a kiss and a gentle touch she leaves the arm of the first man she ever loved for one she will spend the rest of her life loving.
Goosebumps from the fall chill or the romance unfolding…
Proud parents, Stephen, Jane, Audrey & Richard stand to show their support and blessed wishes for the newly joined couple…
By your side is how I want to walk through the rest of my life….
Travis taking in all the love being promised to him by Liz…
With this ring, I thee wed.
With a kiss…a nice long one….these two are officially wed.
The new Mr. & Mrs…woooo hoooo!
Wanting to take a few moments alone to soak in what they just did, our happy couple heads to the beach.
Brandishing his new hardware…
Love these tender hearts!
A sunset stroll and a new life beginning…
Candid moments during cocktail hour are some of our favorites! Just love this adorable moment as friends share a giggle and some bubbly.
First dance….a samba. You go girl! And, a little sweetness in a slice.
Travis’s best man, Ryan, is quite a character and had us (and everyone else) in happy stitches! Way to knock it out of the park Ryan!
To Liz & Travis…
Audrey & a guest reliving some of the highlights of Ryan’s toast. Love it!
Guests getting down on it…
Crazy man Ryan and fellow groomsman Adriaan going for it. You guys!
John Saville Entertainment kept guests having fun on the dance floor…
This one melts my heart….having no kids of our own, I see a lot of mother/son dances and can’t help but feel a little sad that I’ll never have that. But, seeing sweet Travis dance not only with his lovely momma, but also with his favorite Aunt Judy gave me hope that I could still have this. (Callie & Mikey….are you listening? And, Sadie & Stella, I am totally open to a bride/Auntie dance too, just for the record!!)
Like the whole world melts away and all there is is me and you….let the fairytale begin!
Liz & Travis, thank you both so very much for inviting us into your lives and sharing such a special day with us. Entrusting us to document all of the beautiful love & joyful celebration was both an honor and privilege that we absolutely relished! You guys are wonderful. Your families and friend equally so and we could not have ended our wedding season on a sweeter not! So thank you!!! We hope you enjoy these photos half as much as we enjoyed being there to capture them for you! Can’t wait to share the rest with you! Until then, sending big love & hugs, Christine & Andy xoxo
