Lauren & T.L.’s history, while leagues deeper and involving significantly more kisses, runs nearly as long as our history with Lauren’s mom, Ronnie.
Ronnie first came into our life in 2006, while we were photographing the wedding of super cuties Beth & Jeff. I wish we could share photos of that wedding, but it happened pre-bello blog. Ronnie was a guest at Beth & Jeff’s wedding and in her typical bubbly, uber warm way, she approached us to inquire about photographing her oldest daughter, Kim.
We instantly hit it off with Ronnie, her hubby, Frank, and, of course, Kim, although we didn’t get to meet Lauren until this past winter, when she contacted us about photographing her & T.L’s wedding.
Lauren & T.L. met in 2006, while at law school. They were fast friends, but love wasn’t immediately in the cards, at least not from Lauren’s perspective. Thankfully, T.L. was persistent…so much so that he earned the nickname “Woomaster.” In the spring of last year, Lauren finally saw the light and realized T.L. was indeed the man for her.
” Although I tease T.L. about being the Woomaster, we both know that we almost did not end up together. The thought scares me and I am forever grateful for the turn my life took….most people in T.L.’s position would have given up on me (and us),” Lauren told us.
We’re so happy T.L. didn’t give up. Watching he & Lauren together, it’s obvious that their love was meant to be. Click HERE to see how cute they were at our love session this spring.
Lauren & T.L. said, “I do,” earlier this month at the waterside Wequassett Inn in Chatham. The wedding was scheduled for the day Hurricane Earl was supposed to make its way to the area. Thankfully, Earl was a no show. In fact, it was a picture perfect sunny day here on Cape Cod. Here are a few of our favorite moments from the day…
Cosmetic Artist Kimberly Richard enhances Lauren’s already stunning good looks…

Come on now….is she crazy beautiful, or what? And how about those cute shoes. I am so loving it when brides opt for colored shoes. I don’t know why, but brightly colored shoes paired with a gorgeous white wedding dress just makes me happy!

Lauren was a vision in her Sabella Couture dress!

And T.L. was beaming before he even finished getting dressed….way to go woomaster!

A little cocktail for his boys…

I love these next two shots, most especially the way T.L. is rubbing his hands together with anticipation as he gets ready to see Lauren for the first time. We absolutely LOVE it when couples opt for the “first look” before the ceremony. It allows them to get the bulk of their photos out of the way before the ceremony starts so they can enjoy a little alone time together after the ceremony and still enjoy their cocktail hour!

And of course, it means capturing adorable moments like this…

And this…

I LOVE this photo…to me it sums up the sweet, playfulness that is Ronnie (right), Frank (left) and their fabulous family!

T.L. & his boyz…

Lovely Lauren…

Love framed…

We were up at 5AM to get to Chatham by 7:30AM, in time for our 8AM start time. The photos took place from 9:30 -10AM and it was crazy sunny, so finding some shade was a must. And, as funny as it might sound, that isn’t as easy as you might think at a beach side location. But, we found this classically Cape Cod nook and voila…

Be still my heart!

Thankfully the outdoor patio, bar & pool area weren’t completely set up because everything had been brought inside the night before in anticipation of Earl, so we were able to find this cool, uncluttered little spot for photos, which I love! Feels very Mediterranean to me.

T.L. looks on with delight as the ceremony begins and Lauren starts making the long walk down to the altar.

Frank escorts his baby girl…

At after being pronounced Mr. & Mrs., Lauren & T.L. share this beautiful moment….

Down to the dock for a few photos…

Mmmmmm…

And some of the finer details…

Is there anything more obviously joyful than a child in play? Deee-lightful!

Knowing how much she loves Cape Cod, T.L. had given Lauren this starfish necklace as a wedding gift. Awww! And, how about her gorgeous engagement ring & wedding band, with flowers by Winston Flowers.

I don’t know why, but I love this next shot of a guest’s bad a$$ tattoo during the toasts!

And, I don’t know which I love more about this next shot…their friends’ faces as they get down on it, or the lighting. But, it works for me.

T.L. & his super sweet parents, Tom & Diane, have a moment in the photobooth, which Lauren & T.L. rented from Modern Artistry as a surprise for guests. It was a huge hit!!!

While excitedly attempting to cut their beautiful cake from The Casual Gourmet, Lauren & T.L. put a little too much elbow grease in it and broke the handle off their cake knife….priceless!

Get down on it…

T.L.’s super sweet sister, Joy, blows bubbles to usher her brother & Lauren off as they board a boat to cruise away from their wedding.

What made it really fun is T.L. got out of his tux and into some jeans & a tighty whitey so he could carry Lauren through the water and into the boat. Is that romantic, or what?!

I am absolutely in LOVE with this next photo of Ronnie & Frank as they look on, watching their baby girl get carried away by the man of her dreams! It could be my favorite of the day!

Thank you Kalson & the Wequassett crew for always making our job such a pleasure. Thank you too to Beth & Jeff for inviting Ronnie & Frank to your wedding 4 years ago! Thank you Ronnie, Frank, Kim, Mark & Hadley, Diane, Tom, Joy & Jon for all being so incredibly warm & welcoming. We love you guys! But, our biggest thanks, as always, go to Lauren & T.L. You two are so good together. Watching you that day at the winery was so awesome! Your love is beautiful & inspiring and we knew your wedding would be over-the-top fun…and it was! We hope these photos serve as beautiful reminders of a picture perfect day! Big love & hugs, Christine & Andy xoxoxo

Serendipity. I’ve always loved that word. I love the way it looks and the way it sounds as it rolls off the tongue. But, mostly, I love it when serendipitous things happen.
In the fall of 1994, I packed my backpack and boarded a plane to Europe, for what was supposed to be a solo three-month trip to figure out what to do with my life. What I didn’t expect was to end up living in Spain for nearly a year and meeting the wonderful man I would one day marry…but, as serendipity would have it, that’s exactly what happened. And, I’m oh so glad it did!
I can’t say my family ever tried to fix me up with anyone…and I gotta be honest, I think it’s best that they didn’t. I love them, but I’m not sure that would have worked out as well as my serendipitous European adventure….see what I mean about loving that word?!
Sometimes, however, family and serendipity come together with winning results…as was the case for New York sweeties, Nora & Josh, who will say, “I do,” next summer at the Black Rock Country Club in Hingham.
In April of last year, Josh was vacationing with his family in Aruba….minding his own business and just hoping to beef up his tan for the approaching summer. While attending a Passover sedar with his family, a man and his son, who turned out to be Nora’s dad and her brother, walk in and sat at Josh’s table.
They shared a meal and enjoyed great conversation. Charming & funny, Josh made a lasting impression on Nora’s dad and brother. Believing that Nora would like him as much as they did, e-mails were exchanged and the seed was planted.
A few weeks later, figuring he had nothing to lose, Josh sent Nora an e-mail. And as their families had predicted, the two instantly hit it off. That July, Nora & Josh finally came face to face and, it was love at first sight.
I’m sure Josh’s dad & brother never thought that dinner would lead to an expansion of their family, but everyone is sure glad it did.
Score another one for serendipity!!
Being with Nora & Josh you’d think they’ve known each other forever. There is a funny, sweet, somewhat sarcastic easiness about the way they interact that makes it easy to imagine what they’ll be like 60 years from now…still teasing each other, laughing and looking completely at home in each other’s company.
Andy & I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with them the other week for their Bello Love Session. Their love is sweet, inspiring and easy….just the way we like it.
Here are a few of our favorite moments from our time together…
This first photo happened later in our session, but I just love everything about it so I couldn’t wait to share it! It’s just so them….sweet, beautiful and a little quirky (quirky being the unusual crop).

This one also makes me smile because it’s just so them…Josh is saying something funny and Nora is eating it up….love it!

The look of love…

They just fit…

Nora looked like this through a better part of our session….Josh really does have a way of making her glow from within and it’s so beautiful to watch!

Enjoying a moment together as a bi-plane passes overhead….

summer, sandals and sitting with your best friend as the sun sets….does it get any better?

Yup….it does!

The sky was so cool, lots of clouds that created the most beautiful even light. Then, all of a sudden some of the clouds parted way and this gorgeous, angelic beam of light shone down through. It was a very Taaaaaa Daaaaa kind of moment…

Wherever you go….I’ll follow!

Snuggles & secrets…..deee-licious~

I love this perspective….

There is no better place……do I need to finish?…..than in the arms of the one you love!!! Swoon….

Love is……this!

Awwwww……

Laughter really is good for the soul, and something tells me these two have very happy souls!

SMILE…

I love this next one…they both look so completely content!!

This one is especially for Nora, who melts for her baby’s beautiful blue eyes…..Can’t you see why?!

Seriously, the light for this love session could not have been any better…..I drool for these end of the summer days!!!

You + Me forever….

We have to give a special shout out to Martin H., father of the bride to the the beautiful Pam, whose wedding we photographed in NYC this summer. Click HERE to see that wedding. Martin was apparently talking us up to one of his coworkers, the super sweet and very talented up & coming photographer Brooke Sforza. Brooke is one of Nora’s best friends and she was the one who first contacted us about possibly photographing Nora & Josh’s wedding. Thanks Brooke…we heart you!!!!
And to Nora & Josh…thank you, thank you, thank you! We had soooo much fun with you two and can’t wait to do it all again next summer! You guys are just wonderful and we are so honored that you have entrusted us with documenting this special time in your lives! We promise to capture your wedding with the same love & care as if it were our own! Big love & hugs, Christine & Andy xoxo

Five years ago, a very sweet, petite young woman came to meet with us to talk about possibly photographing her Cape Cod wedding. Her name was Heather, and instantly we liked her, sensed her incredible sense of style and desire to have fun, and we knew we wanted to be a part of her special day.
Happily, Heather & her now hubby, Mike, decided to hire us and, as expected, their wedding was the stuff that dreams are made of! Like our wedding inspired us to start Bello, Heather’s experience with her wedding inspired her to start her now very successful wedding planning company, Simply Inviting Weddings.
We had the opportunity to work with Heather, not as a bride, but as a planner at last month’s AHHHH-MAZING wedding of San Fran sweeties Allison & John.
Surrounded by family & friends, Allison & John said “I do,” at the beautiful and historic Old South Church , located across from the Boston Public Library. What a beautiful old church! Their reception followed at the swanky new Mandarin Oriental Hotel, just a ways up Boylston Street.
You may remember Allison & John from our ridiculously adorable love session with them earlier this summer. Click HERE to see the link. We knew from our time with them at their love session that their wedding would be special! The love these two share is a rare & beautiful thing and it was hard to not smile just watching them! And, as was the case during our love session, these two could not stop beaming or looking at each other with the most beautiful expressions of love.
It was soooo hard to narrow down our favorite photos; there were just too many. So, sit back, grab your favorite drink and prepare yourself to be bowled over by love at its very best…
Hanging out with her girls after hair & make up, Allison is already beaming…

I love this next shot of Allison, her mom, and her wonderful friends as they get ready to start the day. I love the light, the composition and just the feeling of anticipation this image conveys.

Allison’s gorgeous Priscilla of Boston gown & gorgeous bouquet by the talented team at Madison Florals.

Love this moment….the dress goes on and suddenly it all starts becoming real! Oh, the joy…

Ga-ga gorgeous!!!

Love, love, love this next shot! It reminds me of the first wedding Andy & I ever photographed for real. There was this moment when one of the bridemaids from that wedding bent over to buckle her shoe and I nearly fell over when I noticed the gorgeous lines her body were forming. That photo still ranks as one of my all time favorites. And, when Allison did the same and I was in the moment, I couldn’t help but smile and think of how far Andy & I have come and how grateful we are to have been invited to share in so many special days for some truly amazing couples and their families! There is so much beauty in life and we’re charged with capturing it and well, I couldn’t be happier about that!

One of Allison’s bridemaids, Andy, isn’t a formal dress kind of girl…I feel ya’ Andy….so she wore a tux, which she rocked with super cool style! And, instead of a bouquet, she wore this boutineer, which Allison was getting ready to pin on her when the shot on the left was taken. The shot on the right showcases a piece of lace from Allison’s mom’s wedding dress, which was wrapped around Allison’s bouquet! Awwww! I loved that. And, better yet, the lace matched Allison’s dress perfectly!

Allison’s dad & I shared a moment in the trolley and he was marveling at how much his little girl looked exactly like his wife on the day he married her……love that! And, I love the love & joy in Allison’s face in these next shots! Que bella!!

Allison & her beautiful mom, Jane leave the hotel room and head out to meet John for their “first look” before the ceremony…

John and his super sweet little brother, Tim, getting ready…

Fun perspective of the guys…

Andy asked John to move into the shade for a photo and this is how he stood…..I am CRAZY about this photo!

John keeps his back turned as Allison & her mom make their way out to the Mandarin’s outdoor courtyard for their first look and some family formals. I just love John’s brother, Tim’s, expression.

I don’t know which I love more, Jane’s expression or the way she’s holding onto Allison’s hand as she leads her out to meet John…lovely!!!

Something about this next shot takes me back to another time. Maybe it’s Jean’s fabulous black gloves or the way Allison is so demurely looking down as her mom fixes her dress or John’s killer Armani tux. Whatever it is, I LOVE this photo….

And this one….look at the happiness in Allison’s face as she looks in John’s eyes…magic!

More magic as they take in the magnitude of the moment…

One of those in between moments during the family portraits as Allison & her grandmother share a loving exchange….be still my heart!

Waiting outside the Mandarin for the trolley to take us up the street for some photos with the bridal party….

You may start noticing a theme in these photos…Allison & John can’t take their eyes off of each other, which made getting amazing photos like this next one a cinch! Love you guys!

The bridal party…

While I think the more formal portraits serve an important need, candid moments like this next one are always our favorites…..

There was a crowd gathering as we stopped on Newbury Street for a few quick photos, but Allison & John are so enraptured by one another they hardly noticed.

Swooon….

A very talented & prolific artist had a display of work on the street and I love this perspective as John & Allison walk past.

But, these next few around Boylston are my faves….

The look of love…

fun fun fun…

I go crazy for Allison’s face in this next one. She looks so beautiful and like a perfect porcelain doll. love, love, love!!!

I’m not sure which I love more about this next one….the way Allison & John are looking at each other or the big smile on the woman’s face walking toward them! Smile!!

I love when brides choose to have both parents walk them down the aisle…seems only fair to mom!

The amazing Old South Church….

Theirs was a beautiful and heart-felt ceremony…

These next couple of shots were hand held, using my new Nikon D3S shot at 4000 ISO….can I get a whoo hooo?! This camera is my new best friend!

The new Mr. & Mrs…

Heading back to the hotel for the party…

Love the way these two look at each other. Their faces say it all!

Friends enjoy cocktail hour in the Mandarin’s outdoor courtyard….

The ballroom, as designed by the ridiculously talented Heather Minicucci! Way to rock it Heather!!!

Love the white leather club chairs brought in from Rentals Unlimited. Gorgeous cake by Icing on the Cake.

Introducing……

Their first dance was sweet, fun and filled with joy….

Nicely done, John!

We can’t thank you enough, Heather, for introducing Allison & John to us! Their wedding was wonderful in every way and we had a blast working with you and being there with Allison & John on such a special day!!! Thank you too to the families & friends of Allison & John for welcoming us with such open arms. But, our biggest thanks go out to Allison & John! You two are wonderful and your love is truly inspiring! Thank you so much for trusting us to capture your incredible wedding day for you! We hope these photos serve as happy reminder for many, many love-filled years to come!!! Big hugs and love, Christine & Andy xoxoxo
PS…If you’re as crazy about this wedding as we are and want more, be sure to check out this AMAZING same day edit film by the uber talented Jeff Brouillet. We were so impressed with Jeff & his amazing team!! Click HERE to see Jeff’s blog post on Allison & John’s wedding & his film.

It’s hard to believe it has been three years since we photographed Lauren & Garrison’s gorgeous Wequassett Resort wedding. Time really does have a way of flying by when you’re busy.
We were so happy when Lauren contacted us back in March to ask about doing some photos this summer with their daughter, Julia, who at the time was 14 months old….such a fun age. Of course, we said, “Yes!” As it turned out, things ended up getting pretty busy when they contacted us again last month to arrange a session date. But, we were grateful to be able to rearrange a few things and fit them in. (***Meaghan & Brad, if you’re reading this….we’d love to do a session with you & Cooper this fall if you come back to the Cape!!! It would be so great to see you guys again!)
Andy & I feel so grateful to be able to reconnect with our former brides & grooms and luckier still to get to be there with them as they embark on the exciting new path of parenthood. Having documented the joining of two lives, it feels so exciting and so humbling to then be able to document the next major milestone as two lives become three.
Here are just a few of our favorite moments with Lauren, Garrison and sweet Julia:

I don’t know what it is about bubbles that captivates the imagination & interest of children, but watching them as they blow and chase and drip from the elbows with bubble liquid brings me a kind of joy I wish I could bottle and save for later. I just love this next shot of Julia trying to blow bubbles as the liquid drips down her arms. I just love it!

A little game of peek-a-boo…..precious!

Julia was very happy to have the undivided attention of mommy, daddy & me as we played peek-a-boo. So sweet!

Looking pensive, Julia and her mommy sift through their collection of sea treasures.

Can you hear the sea? Seriously, are those lips munchable or what?

I love the look in Julia’s eyes as her mommy Lauren puts her in a new lobster dress….so sweet!

Checking out a beetle with daddy….

If joy had a photo next to it in the dictionary, this would be it!

Julia was being very cheeky and kept racing out of mommy & daddy’s arms as we tried to get a family photo. We did end up getting a really nice one, but this is still one of my favorites because it really speaks to her personality!

So serious….

Daddy’s girl…

After our session, it was time for a little coloring before dinner. I just love the light in this next one and the feeling of family…

I don’t know what it is about tiny feet that makes my heart smile, but my heart was smiling away as I grabbed this next shot of Julia’s happy little toes…

A girl after my own heart…Julia was all smiles while eating dinner. Again, i love the light in this next shot and Julia’s super delicious expression of joy! Ahhhhh….it’s the simple pleasures that are life’s greatest!

Lauren & Garrison it was so great seeing you guys again! Thank you so much for thinking of us and for inviting us to once again document a milestone in your lives. It was so wonderful meeting Julia! She is such a sweet, happy little girl and we hope these photos keep her little for a while longer as these next few months will likely bring big changes. Big love & hugs, Christine & Andy xoxo

Every now and then we have a wedding where every single thing that could go perfectly does. And, that’s exactly how it went at last month’s super fun, deliciously love-filled wedding of Laura & Brian.
You may remember these two cuties from our love session with them last fall. Right away, we knew we were going to have fun with Laura & Brian. The way they are with each other is easy & natural and everything about them being together feels right.
Laura & Brian said, “I do!” at Our Lady of Assumption in Osterville, followed by a super fun party/reception at The Wychmere Harbor Club in Harwich Port.
Right from the beginning, the day was off to a good start. I met Laura & her girls at Laura’s family’s beautiful home. The start of the day was so relaxing for me, which as much as the day is in no way about me, when I’m relaxed it’s amazing how much more creative I feel and how much easier fabulous photos seem to just magically pop out of my camera.
I had nearly two hours with the girls for getting ready. Can I get a “Hallelujah!!?” Part of that was because Andy had to drop me off in Osterville then drive to Harwich Port to meet the guys, so he had to leave me a bit earlier than normal. But, I loved it!!!
Laura’s super sweet & very organized mom, Jeanne, set the girls up in a bright room upstairs, where the fabulous Leslie Shattuck from Dellaria Salons in Brookline & Sonja Gjokaj of Gjokaj Make Up of Boston….love you girls…worked their magic. It was fun and relaxing and everyone was having a great time.
I took the girls outside for some relaxing portraits and still had plenty of time for a champagne toast and listening to music. I’m beginning to think two-hours for getting ready photos ought to be the norm. It was just soooo relaxing for everyone and the last thing you want to feel on your wedding day is rushed or stressed out.
Here’s Laura, sitting all smiles, as she gets her hair done…Is she cute or what?

Laura’s girlfriends are wonderful!!! So fun, sweet, funny….just a blast to be around and they kept Laura smiling all morning. She’s beautiful anyway, but I think she looks radiant in this next photo! And can we talk about her crazy blue eyes?! No enhancing done there either, that’s just great lighting and all Laura! Love it!!!

I so love this time of the day, when the dress goes on, the women you love most in the world are there supporting you, and suddenly it all becomes very real! Swoooon!

We had plenty of time to get a few portraits of Laura before heading off to the ceremony and I just love these next few shots of our beautiful bride!

Let’s go dad…don’t want to be late!

Half way across the Cape, Brian was getting ready with his brother & friends at a hotel near Wychmere. Unfortunately for them, they didn’t have quite as much time to get ready and had a bit of a drive to get to the church. But, it was a gorgeous day for a long drive with friends…

I really like this next shot of Brian. He looks too cool!

Laura with her girls outside the church as the ceremony is about to begin….oh the joy!

love & ceremony….

I love this next one…Brian, Laura & MOH, Aynslie, all look lost in their own thoughts.

Another moment of quiet reflection this time featuring Brian’s good friend, James.

We did it…..always a happy moment in the day!

I absolutely LOVE this next shot of Laura & Brian, inside the rolls that will take them to Wychmere. This is just moments before they drive off and their happy faces are in reaction to the cheers of love & support from their family & friends gathered outside the church! Love….Nothing can make you feel as good!

Brian, James and Brian’s brother & best man, Chris, walk to the beach for photos. Are they dudes or what?

Following the ceremony, Laura swapped out her veil for a super cute arrangement of hydrangeas. She looked ravishing…

These two do a lot of this….laughing & cuddling….and oh, how it makes for a good photo!

Beautiful…Aynslie, this one is for you! xo

Laura & Brian did something we hadn’t seen at Wychmere before….they sailed in to the reception on board this gorgeous boat! Super cute and a really nice surprise for their guests!

Soul mates, sunny skies, and sailing….does it get much better?

I love this next shot. It feels very high fashion to me. Moments after this shot was taken a flock of geese flew past…it was awesome!

Guests wave as Brian & Laura make their way to Wychmere’s dock. Everyone was just beaming! So fun!

Because they had some time between their ceremony & reception, Laura & Brian set up lawn games for guests before & during cocktail hour. AWESOME!!!!

I just love this next shot of Laura & Brian’s friends enjoying a friendly exchange during a game of croquet!

The light in the ballroom as Laura & Brian wait to be announced was perfection! Love, love, love this shot of them waiting!

Their first dance was as sweet and full of love as they are! I just adore the family members’ expressions in the background as they watch the dance.

Ahhhhh….You probably know what I’m going to say…there truly is no better place in the world than in the arms of the one you love!

In the arms of good friends certainly runs a close second! Love this shot!!!

After dinner, as sun was setting, we took Laura & Brian outside for a few more photos! They were so wonderful and really did give us all the time we needed to capture their day in the most complete, and dare I say beautiful, way! Thanks guys!!! We love you!!!

Love is…this!

I feel like there were so many more amazing moments we would have liked to share, but we had to save some for the big reveal. We hope you enjoyed this little sneak peek as much as we enjoyed our time with Laura & Brian and their families and friends!
Thank you Karen & Justine at Wychemere for making our job not only easy, but a sheer joy! You two are wonderful. You took such good care of us and everything was amazing! A special thank you to Jeanne, Michael, Claire, Donald, Sean, Chris, Aynslie, Ashley, Bernadette, and James for welcoming us with such open arms & open hearts! You all were so fun to be around and to photograph and made our job feel like anything but a job!
As always, our biggest thanks must go to our fabulous couple who entrusted us with capturing such a special time in their lives ~ Laura & Brian! You two are just wonderful! Being there with you on such a special day was not just a total pleasure, but also a real honor! The way you care for and about each other is inspiring and we loved every minute of your incredible wedding day!! We hope these photos serve as happy reminders for many, many years to come!
With love & hugs, Christine & Andy xoxo
