So, once again, no winners. This little contest of ours is really demonstrating what a good team we are. But, the fact that we can’t seem to give away any prizes is starting to bum us out. And, although we don’t know what we can do to make it any easier, we do know that we have to get another winner. Matt & Sandee can’t be our only winners….we’ll never hear the end of it! So, come on guys, give it your best this week and knock Sandee & Matt off the winner’s block. Ohh a challenge…I’ve thrown down the gauntlet. Watch, they’ll win again this week!
Seriously, though we’d love for anyone to win. We’ve got a stack of scratch tickets looking for a good home.
Before we post this week’s photos, here are last week’s answers: Chris, Chris, Chris, Andy, Andy.
Again, the object is to try and correctly identify whose photos are mine and whose are Andy’s. The first person to correctly identify all 5 images will win 7 lottery tickets, which could net you nothing or possible some serious cash! Either way, we hope you find our little spring quiz a fun way to pass the time!
It might help to go back and look at the past 4 week’s results to see if you can discern our individual styles (Enter Guess Who in the search box to bring up the previous contests). I admit, it’s not easy. We really do feed off of each other and our styles have become pretty seamless. Good luck!

Every year, around this time, Chris and I leave the Bello homestead to meet with other married wedding photographers from all over the north east, to hang out, recharge the batteries, talk shop and, of course, have some serious fun.
This year’s venue for the this year’s We Click retreat was a 6 bedroom house near Killington, VT. A little skiing, a little hot tubing, a lot of eating, tons of fun, some shop talk, and inevitably the cameras come out. This annual retreat - now in its 3rd year - is organized by our fabulous friends Matt & Enna of Grazier Photography. Thanks guys we had a blast! Here is this year’s cast of characters (Photo courtesy of the very talented John & Kim Sanderson of Sanderson Images):

Check out their blogs for more images from the retreat.
From left to right: John & Kim Sanderson of Sanderson Images, PA; Matt & Enna (& Jackson) of Grazier Photography, MA; Team Bello - that must be us! ; Justin & Mary of Justin Marantz Photography, CT; Paul & Laura Eaton of Laura Eaton Photography, PA; Paul & Crystal of Studiofoto, CT. Sadly, Larry & Tabitha Sherrell of Sherrell Photography, MA, were unable to make this year’s retreat, but they did stop by one day for a visit…unfortunately, just not this day.
On the last evening, all of the gear came out and the photo frenzy began!! Here, Matt takes a portrait of Crystal…hello close up!

Justin Photographing Paul & Crystal, with Laura & Paul getting in on the action

Laura showing off her one handed technique!! Don’t try this unless you’re a professional!

Paul chimping …

Chris chimping as Matt entertains Paul!

Crystal - with Chris & Mary - modeling the Eatons’ very sweet 50mm f/1.0 Canon lens. I’ll be asking Santa for that baby this year!

Matt finally got Chris in the spotlight for a portrait. Can you tell she’s not used to being the other side of the camera? It helped that Matt is a total clown!

Then i jumped in for a few. This is one of only a handful of photos we have of us together. Cheers Matt. It’s a keeper!

And thanks to the Sandersons, I have this cool shot of myself! I quite like it, if I do say so myself!!

All in all, it was another fun retreat. Cheers Matt & Enna for organizing everything! You guys rock! We had an awesome time and can’t wait for next year! Although, I think next year, I’ll be skipping the late-night dash out the hot tub climb up a snow-covered hill and race back down with a roll antics!!! You wouldn’t guess it, but icy snow will seriously cut up warm soft flesh. Ouch! It was fun though….and definitely funny to watch.

Happy First Day of Spring everyone! We don’t know about you, but we are soooooo looking forward to longer days, warmer weather and the feel of sand between our toes. Today was the perfect start to spring and we noticed in our garden some signs that promise greener things to come.
Spring’s first flowers…the crocus. Welcome, welcome, welcome!

With its flower blossoms, our pear tree is looking as eager as we are for warmer weather.

Hope you enjoyed today!

Would you believe it? We have no winner again….I guess we’re just a well-oiled, seamless shooting machine! But, it’s no fun having a contest and not being able to give away prizes, so what we’re going to do is give the two people who tied and correctly identified 4 out of the 7 images in last week’s Guess Who? Part 3 contest three lottery tickets each, just to thank them for playing and for getting the most answers right.
The answers to last week’s Guess Who? (Part 3) are: 1. Andy 2. Chris 3. Andy 4. Chris 5. Andy 6. Chris 7. Andy and the top scorers with 4 correct answers were: Kimmy & Laura! Yeahh!!!! The lottery tickets are on their way to you ladies!! Congratulations!! And thank you for playing along!
To make it a bit easier, and hopefully inspire more participation, this week we’ve decided to post just 5 photos, although the first person to correctly identify all five photos will still win 7 lottery tickets. Good luck! And have fun!

Last Saturday, we drove straight back from the VT and the super fun We Click married wedding photographers ski retreat (photos to follow) to another fun event…WellWed magazine’s first ever Cape Cod bridal event, held at the picturesque Ocean Edge Resort in Brewster.
We got to meet the Editor of WellWed, the fabulous Krista Washburn, who put on an incredibly stylish event with her Wedding Affair. At the event, we also met some incredibly talented vendors whom we hadn’t met before, including Lynda Dandeneau of Lynda Dandeneau Flowers, Nicole Whelden of Unique Nantucket wedding & event planning, Marty Kelly of Marty Kelly Fine Paper, Molly Haverty of The Catered Affair, Jennifer Shepherd of Placesetters, Inc., Deborah Dempsey of A Gala Affair, Jane Leonard of M. Smith & Company Social Stationers, and Eithne Yelle of Nantucket Catering Company.
And, we got to see some of our local favorites, including wedding planner extraordinaire Allison Liset of Elegant Engagements, Karen Taddei of Lilacs Florals, Courtney Dunbury of Courtney’s Floral Creations, Patrice Milley Floral Designs, Mary, Cheryl & Sarah from The Casual Gourmet, and Lisa Raffael of Delicious Desserts.
We also bumped into Ivy, one of our super sweet brides who is getting married this summer. We are so lucky to have the BEST clients!! The event really reminded us how fortunate we are to be in this crazy, super fun, totally hectic, dipped-in-love wedding business. This coming year is shaping up to be another stellar one for us. We have some wonderful couples getting married in some fabulous locations here on the Cape and across New England, and the bridal show really got us looking forward to all of the fun soon to come. Yippee!!!
Here is a collection of some images we snapped at the event, including a few shots from the very cool fashion show, which capped off the evening and featured gorgeous dresses from Meredith’s Bridal Boutique here in Mashpee…we love Meredith and her super cool mom, Judy!

The male models passed roses out to all of the women at the show…nice touch!

We’d like to give a special shout out to Alison Graddock & Caroline Smith over at WellWed for hooking us up with tickets to the show and for getting us such great coverage in the first issue of WellWed Cape Cod & the Islands! Thanks ladies…you rock!!
